Welp, based on Tire Rack, looks like the choice is 275 40 ZR-17's. There are also a bunch of 255 45 ZR-17's. Still looking for the advice I originally asked for, just narrowed down my own choices a bit. :rolleyes:

Yeah, like I said, after 10K miles mine has loosened up in a good way. It's still very mechanical and precise feeling without being as notchy. I'm sure that it's partly break-in and partly my getting used to the feel.

You're right, it looks really bad. I think it's worth upgrading to a set of rotors that will not rust anywhere. Good luck.

This has happened on every set of disc breaks I've had. Even if they're clean when I park at night, if it rains overnight, they will have rust spots in the morning. Nothing to worry about. It rubs off of the working area of the disc within a couple minutes of driving.

With the DiabloSport Predator tuner, you can have TCS off by default. I imagine the XCal 2 lets you do it, too. I haven't heard of any way to change this without a tuner.

OK, those are some serious #'s with some serious hardware! Are the aluminum blocks proving stout enough to handle this kind of boost? Please post some videos of your 1/4 runs when you get back!!!

I have a 5-speed GT, and the only solution I've found for throttle lag is an aftermarket tune. Even the stock tunes on the Predator do a lot to help. With the 93 Performance Tune, the problem is almost gone. The only jerking motion I've experienced is actually part of the traction control...

On the Diablo Predator, at least, I'm pretty sure you can leave the stock tune as is and JUST make adjustments for different axle ratios, tire sizes, etc. A dealer would have to be pretty @#$@! picky to mess with your warranty over that adjustment and gears only. I've never heard of it...

I would love to have a damned throttle cable replacing the whole TBW crap. But then again, I'd also like to transplant an '03 Cobra motor in. Sigh, I can keep dreaming. :rolleyes:
