    Fan Always On

Yes sir, it's how I originally ID'd it as high instead of low speed (initially from inside the cabin, before checking under the hood). Defroster/mix does as well right? Or is that low?

    Fan Always On

No continuity for high speed in pin 17, calling it deceased. Tapping on it did nothing (didn't have high hopes on that...). Ordered one for $80USD... a hard pill to swallow but it is a 20 year old car these days. Funny how a $80 part makes me think a $400 monthly payment on a newer one would be...

    Fan Always On

On my '94 GT, my high speed ran fan comes on 15 seconds into the first drive of the day, and won't stop unless the car is off. It will still get to operating temps (thermostat is okay), but the high speed fan is always on. I can let it sit for 2 hours, KOEO and the high speed will start up...

    Need Help 94 5.0

Ha, there was a thread on corral where a guy with a 13 second GT was talking about how he beat crotch rockets with good riders, and that they weren't as fast as people thought. World class advice over there.

    Need Help 94 5.0

Funny enough I had the magnet in my distributor wear itself half away, caused similar problems as described. Real tough to diagnose it as faulty as it looked normal until fully removed. Mind you I had fresh o2 sensors ;) I get 12mpg city / 24mpg highway (2.72 factory gears). All my city is...

    No Dash / Tail Lights

I've lost dash illumination, and tail lights (not brake lights, but the running lights in rear when the headlight knob is pulled out.) in my '94 gt. I also can no longer dim my clock. Still have power to headlights, hi beams, fog lights, brake lights, turn signals, hazards, radio, dash warning...

    Engine Rough Idle

Fuel system cleaning is done by most, if not all lube shops. If you have one you trust, you can use them. You can buy similar kits and DIY, so it's not a hard job for anyone, but with the amount of smoke/junk your exhaust will blow out, your neighbors might appreciate it. View...

    Status Updates

I've noticed lots of new users asking tech related questions in their status updates. These usually go unseen/unanswered, I've tried to steer a couple to the forums (I've seen others as well, Noob347) but it seems to confuse them. They treat the forum as facebook thinking a status update = the...

    Engine Rough Idle

Yes, a dirty MAF can act up with no codes. There are treatments that go nearly direct to the fuel injectors, you can do it at home (be careful) or go to a drive-through lube shop, most offer it as a service. If you need to know how to get to the MAF -...

Clean your MAF, that can definitely cause those sorts of problems.

Need A Little Help With 2 Different Things

Oh and by 'disconnect your iac' when you set idle with throttle body, just the electrical connector leave the unit bolted in.

Need A Little Help With 2 Different Things

A slightly bigger intake elbow and throttle body won't need any different MAF than stock. If you're running the stock injectors, use your OEM factory MAF. They want to know what injectors as your MAF is tuned to the injectors, bigger injectors = different MAF tune. Your stock MAF works with...

Need A Little Help With 2 Different Things

It sounds like the idle is too low to stay on, does it stay on if you give it gas? If it does stay on with light throttle try this - Disconnect your IAC, and set your idle through your throttle body (http://www.muscularmustangs.com/idlereset.php clockwise to raise idle I believe), when it's...

    Thrown Rod Maybe?

I raced my 1.8 Honda when I was a kid. I also jumped it multiple times. How does engine displacement prevent you from racing?

    Plug Temperature Range

Those are for aluminum heads though, autolite on the stock iron head is a Autolite 25, 2 steps colder is an autolite 23 but I have been told (and seen) that NGK's have a more recessed tip than autolites and which makes better for turbo applications.

    Plug Temperature Range

Our cars run a UR45 NGk spark plug stock. 2 steps colder from stock = UR6 correct? The tr6 from NGK is a different plug and won't work well with the 302?

    Supercharger Prefrence?

I think kenne bell stopped producing a blower for the pushrod 302. Unless you find a used/never used one for sale on ebay/craiglist, no dice there :(

    Supercharger Prefrence?

No intercoolers for twinscrews on the 302, centrifugal blowers can be set up to use one. Turbo kits (bg turbo, or on3) are cheaper than supercharger kits, have intercoolers, but longer/more expensive install. If you do it all yourself tho, either one will be a weekend.
