    Dyno day in Seattle/Tacoma?

I would definitely be interested in meeting up for a dyno day. I've never actually had my car on a dyno yet. Anytime during the weekends would work for me, as long as it's not on Feb 5th

Mustang car clubs and random thoughts..

This is my first Stang, and I've been looking around for mustang clubs as well with absolutely no luck. I've noticed tons in California & on the East coast, but none here in the Northwest. So needless to say, I'd be very interested! Glad to see I'm not the only one stuck in this boat.:D

    Off-Road H-pipe and Stock Mufflers

You're car would be insanely loud with no cat's and no muff's, not saying that it would sound bad, but it will be very loud no doubt. Cat's do more to dampen the sound than mufflers do. So it you have the SLP's with the stock H pipe imagine what your car would sound like if you doubled the...

    Off-Road H-pipe and Stock Mufflers

I currently am running the pypes off road H with stock muff's. It's loud, but not too loud. I will eventually get some Flow's to deepen the sound a bit. The o/r h pipe w/ stock muff's isn't too much louder than stock at idle but once you step on it, it roars. You won't regret going this...

    Would like a "guys" opinion

I would personally stay away from the wood dash trim kit. That kind of stuff is for the ford Taurus and such, not a Mustang. The chrome grill might look good especially if you accent it with other chrome add-ons such as the tail light trim you were talking about. Just don't overdue it...

Rear Center Blackout and Taillight Blackout

I would imagine that honeycomb filler would be hard to keep clean. I would think that the honeycomb would trap road debris in the little gaps. Looks nice though. :nice: I used a peice of flat black vinyl on mine along with the smoked tail light overlays from ninosport.com and it looks good...

    C&L or K&N???

You're probably right, the cost for the materials to make some of the CAI's out there probably isn't that much, but then again they got to make a profit. Plus a lot more technology goes into these CAI's than most would think. Here's a link to another mustang site where a guy actually made...

    C&L or K&N???

yeah, just did want to install it! Didn't like the looks of it. Believe it or not there is quite a bit of airflow under the hoods of the 05 due to the lack of aerodynamics as compared to earlier years. So I didn't see any need for it. Yes, the heat sheild helps against heat soak, but the...

    C&L or K&N???

Yep:nice: Here is just one example http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=40131 Search some forums, you'll see. It's pretty well known that Ford did a pretty good job on the 05 in regards to the exhaust system. Not a whole lot of power is to be had by going aftermarket...

    C&L or K&N???

Ernad What in the heck are you talking about? A CAI/Tuner combo is an easy mod that is a good bang for the buck. -Headers won't add 20+ rwhp, more like 5-10 w/ a proper tune. -springs do nothing for power -control arms & relocation brackets allow you to hook up the rear's...

    Merry Christmas

This country was founded on Christianity!!!!:flag: The way I see it, you don't move into someones house because they are generous and demand the rules be changed. :nono: You either abide by the rules set fourth or get out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:nice: No offense to anyone but...

    C&L or K&N???

Either way you go C&L or JLT, you'll be happy. The JLT/Tuner combo is about $100 cheaper than the C&L/tuner combo. and finally here's the web page for JLT http://www.jlttruecoldair.com/ and here's another link for the JLT http://www.brenspeed.com/mustang_2005/airkittuner.html...

    C&L or K&N???

I think both the K&N and the C&L are good choices. It all boils down to weather or not you want to spend the extra cash and flash tune your car or not! The K&N intake does not require any tunning at all, period. It is a legit bolt on mod that will yeild about 15 rwhp. No tune required...

No, he would have about equal if not MORE drivetrain loss due the fact the WRX is an AWD car.

    Western Motorsports CAI

So what about all the dyno charts that are posted all over almost every mustang site that prove the CAI makes more power than the stock airbox? Heck, the article mentioned post #2 shows gains of around 20hp on average for after market CAI's w/tune compared to a stock airbox with a 91 octane...
