Mike, strut or shock it still needs to be tied together. Well, actually it doesnt NEED to be tied together but it should be. I have the same book referenced above and its true alot of guys do weld the rear roll cage bars too the shock towers.... Also, where did you get that SMR brace??

You can run the B and E cam w/o changing the vavle springs. You can most likely run any cam under about 490'/500' lift w/o changine the valve springs but why would you want to? I'd consider it cheap insurance just to get a nice set.

if the pistons are a 'factory replacement' piston from 87-95 they will work b/c they will have the valve reliefs. You can run that cam no problem if so...You will need to upgrade your valve springs though.

supply it with a good amount of fuel for your test and it won't burn up. you just need to simulate the bucket it would be in and spark it up.

Agreed. Sorry I have smog pump deletion on my brain right now b/c i just did that to my car over the weekend. Less pulleys the better, so now all i have is a crank, water pump, alternator and power steering pulley. pretty soon just a alternator, crank and p/s pulley lol

Stage 2 may be a little bit too much cam for the Y heads. I'd go with the TFS 1 cam

If your gonna boost it I'd use no smaller then a 76mm meter. 80mm would be nice with a set of 30s or 36s depending how much boost your going to run.

I'd throw the 190lph pump in. See what happens, even if you decide to run some more power thru the engine in the future you can support some decent power with a 190lph pump.

Where did you get the SMR Brace from?

+1 for Jrichker. Def. sounds like a clutch adjustment problem. You should be able to get the proper adjustment that you need out of that clutch quadrant and adjuster that you bought. I like the Fiore piece, its top notch and in my car.

mac..snapon..sk.. all three companies offer a basic pilot bearing removal tool that works well.. i prefer the one that mac/snap on sell i believe its made by astro pneumatic maybe a friend of yours has one that he would be willing to let you borrow. removing the old pilot bearing is a snap...
