    Is this possible?

I will bet it all. They came close but it was not Ford. Say you got the fastest car ever. On it first outing at the salt flats, this car broke records that had stood for 30 year's. All with a "289". You later sold this car, and the millionaire that bought it complained about how expensive it...

    Is this possible?

Funny thing is they made it thru tech, and I know how it was done. It took me a long time to fill in the missing part's but the power of the internet made it alot easier.

    Is this possible?

Modern blocks nothing - this motor was never officially brought out in any car. Got a story to tell you guy's, got the tech and the final proof. You can judge it for yourself. But first I got a question for D.Hearne. If such a motor exsist as a ford 377 and you filled it with stuff like an...

    Is this possible?

HEH HEH, Want to bet your mustang on it? Did you see the quotes mark's around the 289 part? "377 C.I. "289's" 377 C.I. ford engine- that resembled a 289 externally. Something like the 351 windsor or more like a 351 cleveland, but looked just like a 289. Back then I actually thought...

    Is this possible?

It goes back further then the 80's, back in the mid 60's there where some 377 C.I. "289's" being raced as souped up 289. You guy's didnt actually think a 306 h.p 289 could beat a 325 h.p. stock chevy 327 did you?

anyone ever tried this? drilling drums?

It was a Ford engineer that developed the Shelby drop, not Carroll. His name was Klaus Arning and he passed it on to Shelby. Ford did not think it was cost effective. Just about everything Shelby got credit for on the mustang's was designed by Pete Brock including the Daytona coupe.

So I turned 40 today, is something supposed to get better now? :D

Life get's better with age, I am turning 50 this year and still feel 16 and can do pretty much everything I could when I was younger. Age is a state of mind. On the downside many of my friend's are dead, dying, or are disabled or have just given up on life. :(

    Police cars

I wheel and deal in anything in big lots. So far 16 of the crown vickys, run perfect (Ac works too)with one needing an altenator from one of the scrap cars, they will fetch between 1500.00 and 5000.00 at auction (do the math) - with tow fee's I have less then 10,000.00 in them. Taxi drivers...

To modify or not to modify?

I agree with DJE55 and zookeeper go crazy you only live once. You can still recognize my 65 as a 65 mustang but barely. The purist talk trash when they see it, but I have turned down insane money for it, from other people that love it.

    Police cars

Going to keep a few as part car's some are in rough shape electrical and mechanically . All the body's are in mint shape, I noticed today that the vicky's have the coolant type oil cooler's, heavy duty radiator's and electric fan's and that the passenger safety divider would make a good roll bar...

    Remove trunk lock w/o keyes?

Simple Remove the backseat and go in through the trunk, you can then use a screwdriver to open it. Or you can just remove the catch and pop the trunk that way, and then remove the old lock once the trunk is open -no need for a dent puller.

    Is it worth it? :(

Sounds like its vapor locking, try pouring cold water on the fuel pump to see if it will start sooner.

    How much is this worth?

Heh heh, I got LUCAFU1 -OE brake's off his 66, worth every penny I paid for them. I got a Granada setup, if anyone feel's they need them. Do what you want with your car, but the Granada's setup is definately not the way I wanted to go. The road trip to Tucson was well worth it, Not everyday...
