Exhaust ‘13 V6 Muffler Delete

I plan on taking muffler off my ‘13 v6 soon and was wondering if I take the muffler off and don’t put another pipe to extend under the bumper right away is that okay? And if so for long? I plan on putting one on in a few weeks. Or should I just wait till I can put that pipe on?

From a fumes/cabin noise standpoint-i’d vote to wait until you could have the pipe swapped in
