Pictures just don't reflect (see what I did) the true difference between a cut and buffed and uncut finish, that said, lay'n down a few coats of color with the skill, that you obviously have in spades, makes the cut and buff not only less work but a lot more rewarding.
Look at the reflections of the other objects in the paint, the overhead light tubes, the red car next to it. The detail is there. It's not blurry, looking out of focus.
I bet you could still see your reflection on a dark moonless night.
