Last pics before I put the car in a corner to cure.
Lined up the doors and did them to final fit. Installing doors and lining them up by myself I have a procedure. I install the rear striker lift the
Door into position and hook the back then bolts
In the front. From there its lining up and fitting. On these doors I have to do alot of twisting and hammer and 2x4 on the bottoms but got them done

When I resume on it… I’ll be blocking panel to panel with everything installed

What are you wanting to cure the primer, epoxy, and the filler? Or is all of the above?

Also, how long do you wait?
All 3. No matter what they claim. All these materials shrink. And thats a big reason most paint jobs look pretty good when people
Pick them up but then 6 months later.
Crap. So I let it sit and shrink for a min of 6 months depending on temp and sun exposure and then block all of that out and primer more.

It was awesome to see you do this when we talked about the 97. This is the same process I have done since early 2000. People who want an awesome paint job need to expect a good 12-18 month turn around time.

Can you describe the hammering, twisting, 2x4 process?

My car leaks despite new seals. I’m wondering if this is what I need to do? Thanks!
Put a 2x4 against the bottom rocker door jam….so the door cant shut. Then its putting all your weight against the top of the door to get it flush with the upper jamb. Keep pushing agaist it and then remove the 2x4 and shut it to see where your at. Then if the bottom edges of the doors are out from the rockers but flush at the top line. Take 2x4 and lay against the bottom edge to adsord the blow and distribute it

Grinding and smoothing the INSIDE of the shock towers is on another level..... that’s for sure! But I guess if someone bends down to look through the wheel or over the tire, it’s got to look good!! Lol
Nice work as always!
