3.08 is OE for a SC car.

3.55 were optional on the NA cars.

No mention of gear upgrade.

Yes. In '01 Saleen did not change the gears from the 3.27 OE gears.

This was not the case for '99 & '00.

Changes in the 4.6 from Ford were the reason, as Saleen did not have to swap gears to meet the EPA Regs.
