I have recently purchased a cat back SLP Loudmouth exhaust for my 02 Mustang GT and went to put it on earlier today but only to get stumped. My buddy and I jacked up the car and tried to disconnect the old exhaust from the H-pipe but the 4 bolts on the two flanges were rusted shut. We sprayed heaps of break away on them and it only worked for 2 of the 4 bolts. We did not want to heat up the other bolts due to the fact there was a huge puddle of flammable breakaway under my car and a trail going near my car. Another one wont budge and the last one seems like it is stripped but I can't seem to understand what was happening. When I tried to crank it the nut, bolt, and some other kind of nut moved all at once whiled making a distinct noise. From this point I am not sure on what to do or what I am able to do because of the exhaust that I bought. It came with the 2 flanges to connect to the H-pipe flanges but it didn't come with any bolts or anything else I might need to replace. Therefore I have to reuse the bolts and the very close to being stripped nuts but that is if I can even get them off. So I am not sure what I need to do. Should I cut the bolts off and find some at the hardware store or is there an actual nut and bolt kit for my particular cars flanges. Please help and feel free to give advice on further issues I will encounter when putting the rest of the exhaust on because obviously this is my first time. Thank you!
