So I have 2002 mustang that has a v6 I'm either considering making it a v8 killer or swapping in a 4.6 4v from a mk viii. What limits would I be looking at with the 3.8 v6 has anyone else done something similar? About how much would each option cost? Thanks for any advice

About 5 years ago I did a build sheet to rebuild my 04 v6 with a coyote 5.0 and all the supporting bits to allow the car to properly handle that much power. Motor, ecu, harness, transmission, suspension, brakes, driveshaft, differential, fuel pump, duel exhaust, radiator. My build would have cost $16,000. I bought a newer mustang instead.

If your goal is power with the 3.8, the best way to make a custom turbo kit. Not a ton of people do this because there are so many V8 mustangs out there - it is easier with a V8.
