I have a 2003 v6 with only 130k miles.
It was the first car I ever picked out so therefore consider it my first car. It really sucks to see something with so much life left looking like this...we had an arsonist torch my actual first car, a (2001 Lincoln Ls v8) which then spread to my car bc of it being so close. Most damage can be seen in the following pictures but not too many repairs can be made till we have a game plan. Since the fire, I have removed the passenger side fender to check for further damage. Since no real damage has been done to the motor and it still runs just fine. The questions I have are...can this paint be stripped and prepped if there is no distortion from the heat? And if so, what are the steps? Also, what wires should be checked just to be sure? The only thing I’ve noticed to be burnt around the tire was the brake hose. Where do I go from here? It’s been about a month that this has happened on my birthday and am really itching for some progression. Thanks in advance.
