Radio was working fine yesterday, parked the car in the drive about at noon and it sat overnight. It got about in the 40's last night here in SA TX so thats not too cold but when I got in the car this morning, the radio station indicated 590am no volume, and turning the volume knob did nothing. I was able to eject and re-insert a CD, it showed like it was playing but no volume & adjusting the knob showed no volume change.

I did a search and saw someone recommended to disconnect and reconnect the battery, this battery is about 2-3 years old and I checked the water level in it about 5 months ago. Who can test the battery for CCA's ? Checked it with a volt-ohm-meter the other day and it showed a little over 12v.

I'm curious, could the cold weather have caused this to stop working and perhaps it will start working after the day warms up some? I just can't imagine the radio not working when it's only 40°+ outside. Or is there another underlying issue?
