I just bought 17x9 cobra r wheels for my 89 GT vert. What tire size will be the best for this set up without making any modifications such as rack limiters? What will fit best without rubbing.
Do I do 275 40 17 in the rear and 255 40 17 in front?
What will be easiest?
I've seen all kinds of opinions.
So what width and sidewalk height should I use. What will give me the most clearance?

I think biggest in front is like 245 40 17 i would go with 225 to be honest.. I have 225 40 17 front and 275 40 17 in rear ( You have to remove the quad shock though)

So 225.. that will fit on the 9 inch wide rim?
What will fit in the rear without removing quad shocks or any other mods?
I'd like to go 255 /45 17 in rear and 245 45 17 in front without making any mods? Is the possible?

I have 275/40/17 on 9" wide wheels in the rear and 245/45/17 in the front on 8" wide wheels in the front. I get no rubbing whatsoever and I didn't flip the quads. I'm running Pony Rs which were designed for fox bodies so I'm sure the back spacing is optimal for these cars.

Ok. Thanks. Do you think the 45 sidewall height will be to tall or should I just go with 40?
