1965 Kickpanel question...

My 65 interior was beat, and I decided to go with the Pony interior.

I'm having a problem with the kick panels... the front edge of the old panels were round and slid all the way in. The new panels are square on the front edge, and stop about a quarter of an inch from being flush.... any ideas?

With the Pony interior, does the windlace fit under the top of the kickpanel, or just meet it?

THANKS!

yes.... they're coupe..

maybe it is just due to new carpet being thicker, and the carpet on the new kick panels..

does the windlace end go under the kickpanels, or just butt up to them?

thanks...

Hi,
I just looked at mine (cvt. with standard interior) and the panel edges are, somewhat, squarish, This being the case, It allows for the windlass to be extended, so it's edge is covered.
Hope this helps.
