I am mounting an aftermarket 3/4" rear sway bar on my 1970 Mach 1. It originally came with a sway bar but I am installing a heavier duty sway bar for better performance. I noticed my sway bar bought from NPD does not mount using the same end link bracket plate holes and the bushing bracket thread holes on the frame rails. It looks like new holes must be drilled into the frame rails and a u-bolt is inserted to hold the bushing brackets. Has anyone done this mod? Does this sound right? The insructions do state that it does not mount like originals. I called NPD and they are not sure. Please help. Thanks.

that is correct.jack up the car placing the jack stands under the rearend housing and let all the weight down on the stands. this will be correct ride height.mount the sway bar to the springs first then swing the sway bar up to the frame rails, mark holes and drill. ubolts will then slide in one hole and out the other.bolt up....good luck
