Engine 1991 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Broken Vacuum Wires Need Part Numbers

Hey guys. Taking off My intake to do the valve covers and a few wires just stated breaking. I believe they are vacuum wires. Can you tell me the part number so I can get new ones? Pictures attached.

I don't think you can get the factory vacuum lines anymore. You can just use regular rubber vacuum line to connect them where they broke. Those are always brittle.

They aren't available anywhere. I used a piece of heat shrink to shrink over the two broken ends and reconnect them. You can also take a short piece of vacuum hose and connect the two ends by sliding one end in each side

I thought the part numbers were BLACK for the black one and WHITE for the white one. :rolleyes:

We are talking about vacuum wires right?

For people in the future that need help with vacuum lines on a Ford Mustang, I got a great answer from a knowledgeable Mustang owner that isn't a comedian and genuinely wants to help.

He said:

"If they're not sold out of it,Autozone sells vacuum lines, the hard nylon vacuum tubing in a few different sizes. Our Foxbodys use either 1/8 or 5/32 tubing.It comes in a package,either in the help section or behind the counter where the spools of rubber hose sits.The package comes with a 3' roll of tubing.The part numbers are listed below.

If you pull the vacuum nipple/elbow off the end of the oem vacuum hose (where the hose connects to the vacuum fitting on the egr valve,intake,fpr,etc,etc) you'll notice the hose end has a raised ridge on it.This prevents the vacuum nipple from pulling off the hose easily.IOW- it keeps the nipple attached to the hose.If your vacuum nipple is loose on the hose,with the new tubing,you can put heat shrink tubing over the hose & nipple to keep them locked together. AZ should have this too.

First of all I'm glad you thought it was funny. Second, there is no such thing as vacuum wires. Now before you get out of breath proof read before you post, it's not that big a deal but there is a grammar policeman here and he will chime in, but thats ok too because it's all in fun.

Buy about 6 feet of standard vacuum line, ponder the routing from source to each component, and re-run them directly, without going through the junction that only served to make assembly easier at the factory.
