So I picked up a mustang recently with the airbag light blinking code 44. I replaced one sensor and apparently I didn't read the code description correctly so I replaced the wrong side, it badly needed to be replaced anyways and I'm surprised it didn't cause a code itself. Problem is my other spare from a 1994 mustang looks a little worse for wear (deteriorating on the back side). I am going to try it out and see but I do have two good sensors from a 1995 mustang sitting on my workbench so I was thinking of trying them.
Does anyone know if the 95 and later impact sensor can be substituted into the 94? the connectors are the same but the physical box is slightly different in shape.

1995 part number F5ZB-14b004-ab
I've checked the local wrecking yards but the two I pulled off a 94 are the last ones in the city (all other 94s had front end damage so I avoided pulling sensors from them).
