1998 3.8 No Start

Turn the key on but do NOT crank. Does the theft light turn on and then go out after a 3 second "prove out"?

It is possible the injectors are clogged and stuck with stale fuel. If an injector problem is suspected then consider an injector cleaning and flow test service such as InjectorRX.com. Once cleaned and tested they are as good as new. Cheaper than new.

Consider using a mechanic's stethoscope and/or a "noid" tester to CONFIRM an injector pulse during cranking.

Double check for an intake vacuum leak.

Clean the MAF. Use only a product designed for the job. No brake clean. No carb/choke cleaner.

What happens if the MAF electrical connector is disconnected and then the motor is cranked?

Here's some more information.
