What is the main difference with 2.3 and 2.8 clutches? I bought a brand new 2.8 clutch and installed it on a 2.8, but stopped on that project and went to a 2.3 and wanted to use the new clutch. I know that they both use the same starter, so whats the difference with the clutches? thanks!

For most factory clutches, the big thing is diameter and the input shaft dimensions.

I would say that if the pressure plate bolts to your flywheel and the transmission input shaft fits into your clutch disc, you are good to go.

The quickest way to check is look up the part numbers for the 2.3L and 2.8L clutch sets. If they are the same, you are OK.
