2002 ford explorer problem

hearing some ticking noise from inside the dash and my heat is not working.what could be the problem?

yes but being its a ford and my work car thought someone may know whats going on with it.my mustangs have their own problems as well thinking of selling one of them.

What do you mean your heat is not working? Not blowing? Blowing out the wrong vent? Not getting hot? What about your AC?

Ticking noise is typically the blend door actuator.

air is coming out of the vents but not hot i did not check the ac because its been unseasonably cold these past few morinings here in michigan.

Turn on the truck and turn on the heat, then turn it to cold and see if you can hear the ticking. Sounds to me like your blend door actuator is broken, but it could also be the fresh-air box or blend door itself, they tend to break too.
