Paint and Body 2012 Gt wheels on a 2001 GT?

Hello new member here. Looking for wheel info. I have a triple white 2001 Gt convertible. It has what appear to be 17 inch SVT Cobra wheels. A guy on the local Craigslist has a set of 18 inch 2012 GT wheels for sale. Does anyone know if these will fit my car? Thanks.

...they should fit, but will be tucked in the wheel wells a bit and require spacers. Haven't done it myself, but I do have 18" tires on my 2K with no issues.

Ok thanks. They look like a good deal but not sure I want to deal with spacers.

Had a bad experience with spacers, never again, way to many nice wheels to put up with Mickey Mouse s@@t.

Thanks. I told the guy I was going to pass on the wheels when I heard spacers.
