2Blue2's 1977 Cobra2 Driveway Build

So this "brake light warning switch" tests on with the ohm meter. It goes thru its range of motion always on.

Is it available new? I couldn't find one. Use a 67 or 73 switch instead?
Also if I add a line loc does it need to be downstream from this switch?
If line loc is between Master and BLW switch will the light be on forever?

Just looked inside and the two pins look to be hooked together.

I guess I'm testing it wrong?
i guess it grounds thru the P. block?
Maybe I'm ok?
Dash lights don't work in current gage cluster anyway.

Whoa!?! What the heck, i don't touch ya for 4 days and then you do this?
I haven't started ya or anything, how can this be?... Leaking trans fluid from the crossmember? Its not even by the trans....
I guess I need to get under and have a better look.
Typical Woman, mad about nothing.

This booster won't be as easy to install as I had hoped. Got a ford brake clevis for the pedal, but the front is a different story.

Ordered this for front.
1/2 inch slug for converting Master from deep back hole to shallow for this booster.
Will have to wait for parts, again.

Got glass set.
installed hatch and adjusted it.
Slapped the now dusty spoiler on. Nothing says 70s like a 6 inch duck tail spoiler.
Last look at old rusty one.
Ran out of day light.

But no more rusty Hatch! Whoo Hoo. So Awesome!

Yrs ago this car always had white plastic pieces on the floor.
Old instrument cluster was crumbling. With spray foam, paint sticks, and Por15 I got it together enough to get it back in with just tach and speedo functioning. kind of embarrassing but it was Bad.

Got me a used one this week out a 74. Hoping to have lights and gauges that work.

Took em both apart
painted the needles
figured out the tach drives are different from 74 to 77
So swapped that too.

74 had a ring around the little gauges, doesn't say unleaded on speedo, and Tach has redline (yellow) bars.
My 74 cluster with 77 tack and I'm back in business. Needles look good right!?!
77and leftovers in front is still dropping plastic pieces on floor.
Car got 34k miles older

Steering Wheel
Is this solid stainless? Is it plated with stainless? Is it even stainless?
Can I just rebrush it and be ok? Maybe brush and clear coat?
Polish just was not working.
Gots lots of rust dots evenly every where. What do I do with it.?

Wish I could find a v8 gauge set at a reasonable price.

Does it have to be v8? The 74 gauge cluster sure wasn't from a v8.. Haven't tried it out yet but this week end for sure
Still no brakes so still haven't driven it. Here in Hawaii we wait for parts long time.

The gauges don't have to be from a V8. The only one that is engine size dependent is the tach, and to the best of my knowledge it's also universal. For V8 applications there was an add-on adapter on the back side of the tach where you plug the harness into it, that's really the only difference. It's the one piece I'm missing for whatever reason.....
