31 Spline Axles

They come stock in explorers...will they fit an 8.8 mustang rearend, if so, would they work with a 31 spline trac loc? Would these hold up with 3:73's and DRs?

They're $50.00 shipped, is this a good deal?

8.8 are 8.8 they are all interchangable as far as i know. Yes they'll work with 31 trac loc that's the only way they will fit. As far as holding up I would assume they are heavy duty being used in an SUV.

You need to make sure the lengths are the same. For example: the 99-04 8.8" is 1.5" wider than the 94-98 8.8" on Mustangs. Thus the axle shafts are .75" longer on the later models.

I dont think the lenght is the same on Explorers and stangs. A 31spline carrier from a explorer or F-150 would work with aftermarket 31spline axles

The trac lok will work but im about 95% sure the axles wont.

You can get superior 31 spline axle kit form summit for $259. it includes bearing, seals and wheels studs.
