I have a 69 351W block that i want to stroke to be able to run 10's N/A in the quarter mile while retaining driveability and durability...I am going with a carb setup and was wondering what parts would you use and what stroke would you go with??(assuming a well tuned suspension)...This motor will be going into my 89 LX Notchback...any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...thanx

ok, me and my dad built a 351w stroker, but we put it in his torino a car that weighs over 4000 lbs :D

Well what we did was

408 stroker kit
205 afr heads
edelbrock air gap intake
1.6 arms
comp cam hydraulic camshaft (man i forget the specs, ill get them to you)
Holley 750 double pump carb
so much more but, we havent had it dynoed by it should put out over 500, with a good driver I would expect them to get in the 10s.

I would check out corral.net and enter 408w or 408 stroker or whatever you want in the search forums and find a lot of useful info. I've been looking for almost 2 weeks now trying to get info. I'm going for a 408W hopefully next fall.
