Hey all,
I've got an issue. I have a 98GT that I spun a rod bearing in, so I'm replacing the whole motor with a PI engine out of a 2003.
I found the 03 motor cheap because it came out of a wrecked GT that had front end damage. Included with the front end damage was a cracked up timing chain cover and cracked valve cover. I felt better about buying the motor when I was guaranteed that the long block was good.

So far so good with taking the new motor down to replace the broken parts, until I found that the passenger side timing tensioner was damaged. And along with the tensioner being damaged, the dowel pin that the tensioner pivots on, is bent.

Questions: The dowel pin is pressed in. How do I get it out? Where can I find a new one? (besides trying to take the dowel out of the engine with the spun bearing)

I have a picture uploaded on my profile, check it out.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
