4cyl manual transmission swap for my aod

the tranny would hold up fine, i did the same thing....However, the gears are different in the 4 cyl tranny.....1st gear is very short for the 4 cylinder to get up to speed, so if you have any gears in your rearend then i wouldnt recommend it.

My last notch, the one before the 93 in my sig, had a 4 cyl T5, and that coupled with 3.55 gears, and some other mods was the CHIT. The first three gears were incredible, and a lot of fun. As for how it will hold up, so long as you don't bolt on some slicks, and launch it hard you should not have a problem at all.

To put it in perspective with the 4.10's I just put in my current ride, I turn 2500 rpms at 70 mph. With 3.55's and the 4 banger T5, I turned 3200 rpms at 70 mph. It was LOADS of fun.
