$6.00/gal in Atlanta

Yeah so my dad just called, he works for the State of Tennessee, and he said that the gas prices in Atlanta were at $6.00 (as said on the news here). Thats crazy!!!! Looks like I'll be driving my red wagon for a while. This is really not looking good for the U.S's Economy.

im near atl and i paid $2.99 @ 3pm went back just a lil ago and it was $3.99. owner of the store said itll reach 6 soon if he even gets any gas. :nonono: time to pimp the escort :notnice:

yea I paid 2.60 a gallon yesterday for premium and today I paid 3.05 a gallon.
The thing about atlanta is true my gf told me about it she saw it on the news a lot of places there are at 5.2x's a gallon right now.

I paid $3.09 today in Atlanta. My wife paid $2.59 this morning.

Turns out that many Atlanta gas station were charging over $4 and up to $6, but the Governor has stated that all will be prosecuted who "gouged" the prices.

Of course, everyone is freaked out that we will run out of gas in 7-10 days. However, if the two main gas lines aren't put back into service, we actually may run out of gas.

I remember when prez Bush was selling us the Iraq war, he said that oil from that country would pay for the cost of the war, our great nation is on her knees for oil, we need to make E-85, and other alternative fuels more user friendly, and get our main pipelines the hell out of a region that seems to get hit by killer storms at least twice a year, I mean, we spend billions to fly spacecraft to explode on asteroids, for Christs sake, we should be investing that money to invent oil and gas alternatives, our countrys future is at stake, and its going to get worse untill we elect government officials who actually give a sh$t about the working man and women.

Bush also made the statements in his 1st term that he felt we absolutely MUST increase the number of our refineries, namely in the Cailfornia region, but it has been shot down again and again... now we're paying severly.

california has plenty of smog, we dont need that shiet, i cant even see the mountains sometimes probably only 20miles away! our gas has some stupid additive in it anyways...which they say makes it more costly ....blah blah blah, yea but i filled up at 2.81 today 87 octane :)

Tonight most of the gas stations in my area are running out of either regular or they are just selling premium.

So i filled up for 3.09 thinking well, if we're running out of gas, prices are going to shoot up. Especially over the holiday weekend.
