I have a 66 Coupe I am replacing the rear brake shoes on. When I removed the old shoes I noticed the backing plates have worn grooves where the back of the shoes ride on and they are pretty deep. I have looked for new backing plates and cannot find any. Does anyone know how these can be repaired or know where I can find new ones?

Just take them to a welder and they can weld in the groove and grind it down flat,,, waa--laa like NEW. They should do this in like 10 minites and shouldnt cost more that 20 bucks. Where you at, maybe a stangnet member can do this for you.
