Hi Folks,
Will a 67 steering wheel fit my 68 column and shaft without too much hassle? My 68 wheel is severely cracked with huge gaps, not to mention, for my taste the standard 68 wheel is "UGLY". I really like the look and design of the 67 wood wheel (minus the hub pad) and I realize I'd need to come up with a way to put on a horn button in place of the pad. Would I just be opening a can of worms, or is it easily doable?
Thanks,
Gene

Why not just use a Moto-Lita?

I think you can just replace the pad with the 65-66 button for the deluxe wheel.

As for fit with the 68 column and bell, several years ago a poster named Edster did a modification on his 67 to use the collapsible 68 column. If you do a search for him here, you should be able to find a link to his site which has a write-up. As I recall the fit was imperfect but okay.
