69 coupe emergency brake cable

Ive finished installing new tourque boxes in my 69 coupe.The old tourque boxes were homemade and they had a whole blown in them for the emergency brake cable.My question is does the cable go down thru the floor or does it go out thru the firewall and back thru the tourqe boxes?There are wholes in the bottom of the tourqe box for something to go thru. 75 mustang II

It goes from the foot pedal down into the torque box, and then out the back of the torque box. In other words, you can't see it from the outside at all, except where it comes out of a hole in the back (not the bottom) of the torque box.
