I have a 1970 Mach 1 with a shaker hood. I order a stencil kit and the center stripe measured about 14 1/2" wide. It's about the same width as the trim ring for the scoop. At car shows other Mach 1 have center stripe that is a little over 15", 15 3/8". That leaves about 1/2" on each side of the trim ring.
Which measurements is correct for a center strip on a 70 Mach 1 with a shaker?
When I called the stencil company they said the 14 1/2" was what Ford gave them.
But yet I see many stock original hoods that have a little wider center stripe.
Can anyone help on determining the correct measurement? Did change the measurement at some point to be inline with the scoop?
Thanks
