Progress Thread 83 Convertable Engine swap

Its good to see that you are still making progress on the build. Hope you are feeling better though.

We really like pictures here, so if you dont mind posting any that would be great.

Also, if you didnt already read it for the 94/95 spindles you will need a spacer/washers on the balljoint if using pre-94 stuff or you can change them to 94/95 balljoints. Just a heads up as well while you are gathering parts.

Going down tomorrow and uncover the engine and put the headers on.
I will take pictures. : D

Pics are a must! It also keeps the membership dues low.
Even if it some pics of your cat drinking beer with strange names. You can even borrow a cat if you have too.
dues are payable with iTunes gift cards,

Sorry about that.
I am new here and didn’t know all the rules.
Cats?
My neighbor has cats.
I’ll see what I can do. : D
Going down to the shop tomorrow.
Just an engine, but I’ll take some pictures.
: )

Well today RamJet came in and got everything disconnected and ready to pull the engine on Monday.
Think I have everything done to the engine for it to go in.
Oil, filter, sending units etc.
Finally going to happen.
I’I post pictures Monday evening.

Thought tomorrow was gonna be the day for starting the engine.
Spent the day doing the little :poo:.
Ran into a roadblock when trying to remove the power steering pulley to put on the new bracket.
Of course this happened when no shops are open to help me.
I should mention I live in a small town.
This thing is so ready to run it is driving me crazy.
Hope tomorrow brings me a little luck..
Will post pictures tomorrow whatever happens.

As I’m sitting here drinking several adult beverages I’ve decided to call the local parts, and machine shop tomorrow, and have them get me a new pump, and pulley, and let them press the new :poo: together.
The pump is 36 years old anyway.
The car is scheduled to have the new exhaust put on Tuesday afternoon, so in my newly revived mind this will work out, and I’ll be driving it Tuesday night.
At this point what is another couple of $$$?

Everything is back on schedule.
Got the Alternator, power steering pump, and A/C compressor all mounted.
Went ahead and put the new Wheels and tires on.
Tuesday afternoon the exhaust will be installed, then I’ll be driving it : )
