88 2.3 floods out won't start

I picked up an 88 Mustang and at first it would start. Not much time to work on it and now it will not start at all. It turns over fine but floods very easily. I am not a mechanic at all. Can anybody give me any ideas why it floods and does not start? Any help is appreciated
