I'm having problems getting the clutch cable hooked back up. Went by the book and pulled up on the clutch peddle but it doesn't release anything under the dash when I do. I've worked on every other part of cars but necer anything under the dash. I'm sure it's probably something very easy. Any help is appreciated.

the stock pawl is self adjusting. by pulling up on the pedal you are basically rotating it back so that you can attach the cable. You press down on it to remove the slack after the cable is attached.The stock plastic piece is also notorious for warping and breaking. I would at this point order an aftermarket aluminum quadrant and fire wall adjuster. Between these two items you will never have a clutch cable issue again.
