Hey all

I just put in BBK 1-5/8 equal length shorty headers and cylinder 4’s spark plug wire is hard to put on with the bend of one of the pipes right in the way. Get it on drive a bit.. notice it’s back to sputtering a bit at higher RPM’s.. thought I would check all spark plug wires are connected right before I mess with the MAF. #4 being so close to header, I took the booty off and wow, melting the wire..

Thoughts? Wrap that tube or the whole header in heat wrap? Heat up top and bottom ends of pipe and move it away a bit more ?

Think that wire was leading to spark issues at higher RPM’s?

Thanks karthief

I watched an msd video and these cables once installed can actually be bent out of way of the header.
Will get a new wire and go from there.
