93 lx 2.3 no start

Check the timing belt. This is a non interference engine....meaning a jumped timing belt won't bend valves. In my experience with the old LIMA engine....if it has fuel and spark but won't start...check timing.

If you have fuel pressure and spark, are you getting fuel through the injectors? Also, does it have any compression? Timing belt being off a tooth or two can cause low compression and no-start condition. So can stuck valves and I've seen a few Lima 2.3's with valves stuck open from sitting for a length of time.

My son was driving it and just died on him. Got it home and messed with it, will crank act like it wants to start but won’t. Timing belt looks good but will pull cover to see if it jumped out of time.
