Hello, I recently upgraded my distributor to a MSD 8455 drop in. I got it all put in and timed, but the car jerks and run horrible. I pulled out the spout and it runs better but not as much power. I put the stock one back in and it runs fine. What is with the MSD distributor?

I'm not a fan of MSD - nothing I've gotten of theirs (wires, cap, coil) was worth a penny. Plenty of arcing at the cap and cross-firing through the wires, and the coil lasted less than 2 years before it lost oil. Return it if you can.

Well after some trouble shooting I found out it wasnt the dizzy, but it was the new MSD coil. It was not putting out enough volts. It's garbage. I'm going to jump on the bandwagon "do not buy MSD parts". Your not the only one who has told me that MSD parts are crap. Thanks for you imput.
