99-04 Gt Convertible Compared To The Coupe.

I'm new here! I've been referring to these forums for a long time for help, thought it was finally time to get involved lol. But I was wondering, how much slower is a New Edge GT convertible than a regular GT Coupe? I have a 02 Gt vert and it's a little discouraging seeing that my 0-60 is supposed to be over half a second slower than a coupe, just a little curious! Thank you

It's common knowledge that convertibles weigh more than a coupe does. They have to add extra bracing in the floor to keep the car from buckling, along with the weight of the top mechanism and motors, pumps, hydraulic cylinders, etc.
Also the new edge mustang GT's have less than 300 hp factory so it's not surprising they are half a second slower.
