A/C Heater Knob Help....Need Help finding a clip

I was removing my A/C knobs/heater knobs today and when I went to reinstall them one of the clips fell out and is lost. This is the clip that slides inside the knob and keeps it from spinning on the shaft. Is there a place you buy this clip or does anyone know what they are called to search? The Ford dealership only list a new knob not just the clip.

thats wierd my knobs and shafts are squared...

Unfortunately you can't purchase just the clip. It isn't supposed to seperate which means the back side of your knob is most likely broken too. Or try finding one at a junk yard. That same knob fits:
93-95 taurus, sable
94-00 mustang
95-01 explorer
97-01 mountaineer
95-02 ranger
95-98 windstar
97 econoline
A new one is $13.15 plus tax too.
