Adding A Shaker to a Cobra Jet

Ok, will try to word this again. Getting a 70 Mustang that is a funky configuration. In a nutshell the 428 CJ engine has been added and they manufactured the motor mounts. Everything seems right but was wondering if I should get a cut hood or cut the hood? I would rather have a "factory" cut then one of mine.

Anyway I measured from the junction of the hood/body on the body where it's 90 degrees to the body panels ->_|

Below are pictures valence/cowl (between front window and hood):

This one is from the passenger fender junction to the center of the carb:

Is this STOCK PLACEMENT? or do I need to cut a hood?

Didn't get the info I wanted so am throwing out the time and effort it may take to get this working and going with a setup similar to the boss 429. We have a scoop with no hole into the engine bay ... figure get a base for the air cleaner ... put a filter with only enough of a cap to cover the filter element itself ... add some foam around the base to seal it to the hood and cut a hole under the scoop in the hood ... "ram air" without risking getting the right setup on the shaker.
