advice on front end woes

My 66 C-code is wearing its left front tire on the inside edge. That wheel also seems to lean in at the top as you look at the car from the front.

Short of ordering one of those total rebuild kits for the front end, what should I look for? Someone said tie rod problems, someone else the upper a-arms or something.

Sounds like you kissed a parking lot stop and knocked your front end out of alignment. If it seems to be okay otherwise, you might just need an alignment. You might consider taking it to a good alignment shop that will spend time on it. It will cost more but be worth it because they will also do an inspection.
