The saleen foxes are certainly rising in value, but I don't think i'd spend the money it takes to restore one that doesn't have the original engine.
For 15 grand you can get a really nice original saleen.
You will spend more than that on that car and it will never be original again.

Too bad saleen as a company went downhill after foxbodies.
They always got the styling right, but customer service, warranty, car delivery and parts support, they F up, even to this day (that goes for all owners of the company)

As far as that car over 30 grand, consider this, my buddy modded some guys low mile 89 saleen ssc. Car was MINT condition and original, the owner had them do a a Ysi (I think) with aftercooler, dart block and the works. I think it made 725rwhp.
With the car and mods, I can't see how the owner could have had less than 60 grand in it.
Had trouble unloaded it for low 20's.
May have been one of the nicest foxes I've ever seen.

That red car?
The hood and wheels need to go, then drop the price 15 grand.
Problem with selling a completed fox is that all the fun is in building it up, if you buy it done, what are you going to work on?
