Engine Alteration Arbitration

  1. Hello brainiacs,

    I am trying to decide between two possible summer modification projects for next summer. This summer was spent restoring a special edition 1995 Mustang SVO GT-40 convertible to near showroom condition.

    The vehicle currently had a near perfect 302 short block, SVO GT40 intake and heads, cobra rockers, Motorsport shorty headers, 65mm TB, under drives, 373:1 gears, & Flow Master cat back.

    My intent is for some more power, but within reason. I never race the car ever. It is only for my wife and I to enjoy. Anything I do to the car must look as though it were "factory," and run just as reliably.

    My decision is between some really nice aluminum heads on the 302, or swapping for a 351w efi setup. Which would you advise and why? I'll most likely be able to perform the work myself so labor should not be an issue.
