So, putting a radio in is the very last thing on my list, got to get car back together and moving again ect... but I want to pre-wire for the raido and amp and speakers before I put the new carpet in... so I don't have to do it after the fact.

I haven't messed with audio stuff in a long, long while.... I plan on getting a 100.xx radio something like this Kenwood - https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KMBT325/Kenwood-KMM-BT325U.html?avf=Y don't need no CD... it has 6-channels...

I want to put a amp in, nothing $$$ just want decent sound... I have an old single MTX sub woffer in a sub box (non-powered) I had for over 10 years or more, but was only used for like a year.. can't remember if it's a 10" or 12" been in basement wrapped in trash bag... so I plan to use that for the sub. So I need to replace all 6 of the factory speakers... the 2 in dash, 2 in door, and 2 in the rear...

So, can I get a single amp to run all that? or am I going to need 2? I really need to know what RCA cables and power cables I will need so I can run that before I put carpet in, so when the time finally comes to do radio, the lines/cables will be there...

So with that radio example, that is a 6-Channel... it has, front, rear, and sub out puts, so I would need 3-sets of RCA's right... now, for the speaker wires, since there are 4- front speakers... how would I split them from the amp? What channel amp do I need to be able to hook up the 4 front speakers, 2 rear speakers and the 1 sub woofer... do I need splitter/cross over??? the speakers in dash would they only play highs, and the ones in doors mid/lows? and the rears full range?

And what size power wire should I run to the back... and if I need 2 amps, can' that be split between the 2 once in the back? (I would really like to have 1 amp if I could) don't need no windows shacking power, just want enough to sound like a great factory radio.

I have a rear seat delete kit I will be installing, so the amp and wiring will go under that.

I would go with a 5 channel amp. Something like this would work on a budget:

NVX JAD900.5

I has the option to run 1,2, or 3 sets of RCA cables to it.
I would run 3 so you can use the head unit to control each set of speaker independently

Here a 3 in 1 RCA cable

For your front speakers do components. Put the tweeters in your dash and woofers in the doors of course. Both the tweeters and woofers would run to a passive cross-over that then would connect to the front channels on your amp. You would enable the cross-over on the amp to pass only 80 Hz and above and then the passive cross-over would split that between the tweeter and woofer.

6 gauge wire would work for power and ground on the amp I posted.

Thanks for for the info Dan... I like that 3-1 RCA cable.. didn't know they made something like that...
for the front... look like I can go 5 1/2 or 6 1/2 in the doors? on crutchfield they list both and show they fit... I found this commonet set that comes with the passive crossovers.. but looks like all the tweeters are surface mount.. which that shouldn't be no problem to make a mount get them mounted under the stock speaker grills. - https://www.crutchfield.com/p_109CL6500M/JBL-Club-6500C.html

and for the rear - https://www.crutchfield.com/p_236THND68/MTX-Thunder68.html

and 5-chn amp - https://www.crutchfield.com/p_108R455AM/Infinity-Reference-4555a.html?tp=35808

I'm not ordering the equipment yet (just wire/cables right now), so am sure stuff will change...

What guage speaker wire should I go with?

How's all that stuff look, if I was to get equipment today... (which I'm not)

That stuff looks good to me. The doors are really designed for 6.5" but you can use 5.25" you will just need adapter rings. They should have a shallow mounting depth though and it looks like the ones you posted do.

I like using plastic cutting boards to make stuff like adapter rings they are cheap and easy to work with.

16 guage speaker wire will be fine.

cool, thanks... I thought those speakers were 6.5" but looks like it's listing both sizes for some reason, but when the time does come to order the equipment I ill make sure to Oder 6.5" for the doors. will be ordering the wiring/cables soon thought so I can pre-wire everything before I put new carpet in.
