Any experience with the American Racing 500 wheel?

My Magnum 500 wheels are getting pretty beat up and sad looking from close to 20 years of use. I saw mention of painted aluminum Mag 500 wheels from American Racing that come in 15" and 17" diameters. Does anyone have any first hand experience with these wheels that can comment on their look and how they have held up so far? I'd rather go with aluminum wheels than the steel ones.

They are a great wheel and hold up as well as you take care of them. I had them on a 72 Mach I sold.

Those look cool. I hate polished aluminum though. It requires constant polishing with a compound. I would rather have my Magnum 500s.

Check to see if they are coated. If so, then they won't require all the polishing.

I had some polished aluminum wheels on my F150 and got tired of keeping them looking good so I put the factory wheels back on it.

If they are coated, you wax them just like you wax the rest of your car and they will always look good. Clearcoat is the key!
