Well, even though I spent more time driving to the event than actually at the event, I had a blast!

Keeping in mind that the timing has never been tuned, I made a few passes in the '93 GT. On the lowest boost setting of about 5-6 psi, it went [email protected] mph. Not too shabby, for how conservative I've been with the tune. At the highest boost setting I ran, ~12-13 psi, it went [email protected]. No, I really didn't do a good job getting it out of the hole, and to be honest, I'm not sure it'll ever give me 1.60 60' launches, but for what the car is, I'm not shooting for a drag strip monster. The best part about it was that I made substantial progress on the tune, getting AFR where it needed to be and even bumping timing at low boost by a point which resulted in an additional mph.

Anyways, it was pretty cool to see all of the amazing cars out there. So, here are some pics to share of the event I saved in an album: https://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/media/albums/sacramento-muscle-fords-event-21may18.2137/

I'm sorry that they didn't come out quite in the right order to show which cars I was taking multiple pics of.

Also, here's a dyno pull video from a guy with TFS 170 heads, Systemax intake, undisclosed cam, and 13 psi from a procharger on a Dart 347 through a TKO600. The guy had twin fuel pumps said to be capable of 1k hp, and 80lbs injectors. I guessed 700 rwhp, and he said that was right where Bob Kurgan had gotten it while it was tuned. Unfortunately, I was in the staging lanes and had to go move my car. So, I could not stick around to see the results first hand.

I chatted with quite a few guys there and invited some to stangnet. Hopefully, they'll chime in here if anyone actually came to the forums. Also, 2-3 guys recognized the '93 asking if it belonged to someone else before me. One guy even knew the screen name, @GroverDill He said that he'd arranged the dyno event it was originally tuned at by Bob Kurgan and said he would be back out at some point in the near future. I'd be down to get it on the dyno with a pro so I can watch the tuning techniques.

This fox, owned by the guy who said he staged the Bob Kurgan tuning events, was a twin 64mm turbo car that went 134 mph on 8psi with 108 race gas:

This Lightning with a blown carbed 351 went 10.77 in front of me, and the guy said it will go 10.20s on a good day.

Makes me happy that you are driving that thing and even racing it! Im glad it went back to Cali and a great owner. You have put more miles and had more fun with it in 6 months compared to the last 5 years I had it.

And I'm doing my best to take care of it, too. It was trailered to/from the Track. It got a lot of attention from the crowd. I thought it was pretty cool that some knew it by sight and remembered you. That it's pretty well-known is a testament to what you did with it. I gave credit where it was due, too.
