Anyone in the OC(california) area looking for GT40/GT40P explorers at the yard?

this pick your part has 3 5.0 exploders
the dates on them are as follows
01/96 GT40 heads!
07/96 GT40 heads!!
10/97 GT40 head!!! (not plural, I have the drivers side head)

the 97 one I took 1 head from. the other is almost off(only 5 head bolts, and the headers hold it on). I put the intake manifold on the ground where it probably sits as we speak.
PS the intake has the EGR ports

at 40 bucks a head, you cant go wrong

and the 'nuts and bolts' charge on there, those were pushrods

they're all over every yard in socal. Monrovia had probably 15 exploders

oh, I didnt know that.
it seemed like everytime I went the stanton and anaheim they were picked clean. OR they were ALL 4litres

Starting to become very plentiful in yard.


3-4 years ago...was lucky to see 1 5.0 explorer in a yard.

Now i can go and see 5-10 of them still complete.

If i had a crappy work truck i'd just go yank heads and intakes all day long. But loading oily parts into my nice clean infiniti and then sitting on white leather after a day in the junkyard....not gonna happen.

Yea I agree they are pretty easy to find now, and it seems the value of them is going down a lot as well.
