AOD 2->3 shift point to soon. How to fix?

5.0/AOD trans swap works great, runs strong. One irritating problem I can't seem to fix.

Transmission shifts from 2nd to 3rd too soon. Causes vehicle to lug down in slower traffic. Shifts well when I'm able to get up to speed quickly, ie., 0-40+.

I adjusted TV pressure using a pressure gauge with the adjustment tool. Since then I've made a few manual adjustments but no luck improving the 2-3 shift timing.

Any suggestions how to resolve this. All feedback is appreciated.

Shift kit, or learn to do the 1-D-1 shuffle to hold the gear longer

Thanks for the feedback. I've used the 1-d-1 shift and it does help. I was concerned how doing so would affect the trans.

I have a shift kit just sitting on the shelf and may go that route. Also may consider a new modified valve body.

If you go with a shift kit, I highly recommend a Trans-Go valve body reprogrammer. I use them in all of the automatics I have. Love them. They not only fix the upshifts, but fix the downshifts too. You can also adjust the shift points with the kit depending on the parts you install.

Heres my AOD automatic upshifts after a Baumann shift kit install. 1-2 is about 5200 rpm and 2-3 about 5000 rpm. This car has a 4.11 rear
