Are Fuel Pumps Marked Or Stamped? Thinking About Dropping The Tank To See

The 95 I recently bought I'd like to see if it possibly had another fuel pump in other than stock. My wrecked car has a 255 and I could just swap for s and giggles. I guess it's one of them things where if I drop a tank I'd might as well swap out the pump but then again those things are $85-130 bucks for the 255's. So yeah not knowing for sure because of the car changing hands between 2 previous owners I guess it's one of those peace of mind type deals.................................

Well I'm going to build a 351. I have a 255 in my wrecked 95 that I could use if this car has the stock pump still in. This one had Nitrous and a scattershield but a lot of other things look stock to me. The guy I bought it from at a small lot in NC didn't have it that long and I couldn't get in touch with the guy before him. So yes I'd like to know because I'm going to need more fuel for sure

Manufacturer and pump size should be stamped on the side.

If you still have stock injectors odds are the car still had a stock pump.
